Y’all, this announcement has been a long time coming. My custom invitation and hand lettering business has a new name, branding, website and blog! I’ve been thinking about changing my business name for quite some time now, but over the last year I realized how many people would actually misspell my last name. After a little guidance from a well sought-out friend and photographer (Hey, Kiamarie!), I came to terms that a rebrand wasn’t just something I wanted, but essential if I wanted to grow my business. So, without further ado, let me proudly introduce Lace and Belle Designs – Paperie and Hand Lettering!
THE STORY
When my five year old boxer (Zoey) was diagnosed with severe dilated cardiomyopathy (a disease that affects the pumping of the heart causing heart arrhythmia, fainting, and sudden death) , I was devastated and felt completely cheated. Although we knew how serious her condition was, we remained hopeful and simply tried to enjoy the time we had left with her. Zoey’s time to run free over the rainbow bridge was about a month after she was diagnosed. A big piece of my heart will always be missing, but home felt completely empty without a wiggle butt. We welcomed home Lacie Belle (pictured) one week later and she completely won my heart over.
My new brand represents me and my story and I couldn’t be more excited to begin the Lace and Belle journey.
Lace and Belle (formerly MLShaughnessy Designs) is a boutique-style design company specializing in bespoke wedding invitations, event stationery + hand lettering. We work one-on-one with each of our clients offering a personalized experience from start to finish. THE DESIGNER
I always had a love of all things paper and even had quite a few pen pals back in the day. While most teenage girls were shopping and finding their style through fashion, I could be found in the mall browsing and purchasing pretty paper goods. Growing up, I was always creative, but it wasn’t until after I designed my wedding day stationery that I became passionate about design. Following my big day, close friends inquired about my work and it wasn’t long before I began working with some of the sweetest engaged couples and clients celebrating weddings and special occasions.
My days are filled with curating the pretty paper details of your celebration that is a beautiful reflection of your story, while setting the tone for your event. I truly believe that bespoke stationery and hand lettered notes will always convey a heartfelt message. Whether you’re planning a wedding, a milestone event, or just in need of personalized stationery, I promise to provide an experience that is not only meaningful, but will leave your heart happy.
